Всходила Пречистая
На гору высокую,
Увидела Чистая
Михайла-Архангела,
Сказала Пречистая
Михайлу-Архангелу:
«Ты светлый, пресветлый
Мих_а_ил-Архангел,
Сведи меня видеть
Всю муку людскую,
Как мучатся грешники,
Бога не знавшие,
Христа позабывшие,
Зло творившие».
Повел пречистую
Михаил-Архангел
По всем по мукам
По мученским:
В геенну огненную,
В тьму кромешную,
В огнь неусыпающий,
В реку огненную.
Что на севере муки
И на юге,
На востоке солнца
И на западе.
Видела Чистая
Все муки людские,
Как мучатся грешники,
Бога не знавшие,
Христа позабывшие,
Зло творившие:
Князья, попы и мирская чадь,
Что в церковь не хаживали,
Канунов не читывали,
Святых книг не слыхивали,
Заутрени просыпали,
Вечерни пропивали,
С кумами блудили,
Нищих прогоняли,
Странных не принимали,
Пьяницы, зернщики,
Скоморохи, попы ленивые,
Немилостивые, нежалостливые,
Все лихие скаредные
Дела сотворшие.
Как увидела Чистая
Все муки людские,
Восплакала, возрыдала,
Грешникам говорила:
«Вы бедные, бедные грешники,
Бедные вы, несчастные,
Лучше бы вам не родитися.
Ты светлый, пресветлый
Мих_а_ил-Архангел,
Вверзи меня
В геенну огненную:
Хочу я мучиться
С грешными чадами Божьими».
Сказал Пречистой
Михаил-Архангел:
«Владычица Богородица,
Госпожа моя Пресветлая!
Твое дело — в раю покоиться,
А грешникам — в аду кипеть.
А попроси лучше Сына Своего,
Исуса Христа Единородного,
Да помилует Он грешников».
Не послушал Господь Богородицы,
Не помиловал Он грешников,
И опять взмолилась Пречистая:
«Где вы, пророки, апостолы,
Где ты, Моисей Боговидец,
Даниил с тремя отроки,
Иван Богословец, Христов возлюбленник,
Где ты, Никола угодник,
Пятница, красота христианская?
Припадите вы ко Господу,
Да помилует Он грешников!»
Не послушал Господь Богородицы,
Не помиловал Он грешников,
И втретие вскричала Пречистая:
«Где ты, сила небесная:
Ангелы и архангелы,
Херувимы и серафимы,
Где ты, Мих_а_ил-Архангел,
Архистратиг вой небесных?
Припадите вы ко Господу,
Да помилует Он грешников!»
И припали все святые ангелы,
Пророки, апостолы,
Иван Богословец, Христов возлюбленник,
Пятница, красота христианская, —
И застонала высота поднебесная
От их плача-рыдания.
И услышал их Господь Милостивый,
И сжалился Он над грешниками:
Дал им покой и веселие
От Великого Четверга
До святыя Пятидесятницы.
